• Hardware ID (HWID) — a hashed identifier of your computer, used to bind your license to your device
• Usage data — number of images translated per day (for enforcing plan limits)
• IP address — logged for security purposes

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Authenticate your license and provide access to BoltManga
• Track usage against your plan's daily image limits
• Prevent unauthorized sharing of license keys
• Send important account-related notifications

3. Image Data

We do not collect, store, or transmit your manga/comic images. All image processing (text detection, OCR, inpainting, rendering) happens locally on your computer. Only translation API requests (text strings, not images) are sent to third-party translation services (Google Translate, DeepL, or OpenAI) based on your chosen provider.

4. Third-Party Services

BoltManga uses the following third-party services:

• Google Translate — text translation (Google's privacy policy applies)
• DeepL — text translation (optional, requires your own API key)
• OpenAI — text translation (optional, requires your own API key)
• Whop — payment processing for Pro subscriptions

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), and encrypted license caching. Your HWID is stored as a one-way hash — we cannot determine your computer's specifications from it.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at support@boltmanga.com.

7. Children's Privacy

BoltManga is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
